GUILD OF OUR LADY
Sacred Heart Church
Prayer to our Lady of Good Counsel
God of heavenly wisdom,
You have given us Mary, Mother of Jesus,
To be our guide and counselor.
Grant that we may always seek her motherly help in this life and so enjoy her blessed presence in the life to come.
O Mother of Good Counsel,
Patroness of the National Council of Catholic Women, intercede for us,
That we may be wise, courageous, and loving leaders of the church. Help us, dear mother, to know the mind of Jesus, your son. May the Holy Spirit fill us with reverence for God's creation, and compassion for all God's children. May our labors of love on earth enhance the reign of God and may God's gifts of faith and living hope prepare us for the fullness of the world to come. Amen

CHECK PRESENTED BY THE GUILD
Dear Father Jerry,
The Guild of Our Lady is presenting this check for $7,000.00 payable to the Sacred Heart Church Building Fund. The Guild's donation of $2000.00 toward the Memorial Garden is included.
We appreciate your cooperation and support furthering the aims of our organization. Through our six Concerns Commissions, that is Church, family, Community, International, Legislation and Organization, we strive to focus on the growth of our members- spiritually, physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially. God's love and care is then activated, in ever widening circles to serve our families, community and the world.
These funds were made possible with the help of others in such Guild sponsored projects as:
- The Parish-wide raffle at the Church picnic.
- The Cookbook sales.
- The Annual Card Party in February.
- The Bakeless Bakesale.
- And generous donations during our membership drive.
Remember...it's not the building....It's the People.
Dolores Garvis, swears in new officers including President Barbara Gray.
We urge all women 18 and older to join the Guild and actively participate in our efforts to serve God and His Church at Sacred heart Church. It is well known those new, young members often-foster new and great ideas to make the organization progress. New members are always very welcome.
