History of Sacred Heart Prayer Healing Ministry

The Sacred Heart Prayer Group was established February, 1994 by Rev. Fr. Joseph (Joe) Stearns, a remarkable man, gathered together a handful of Catholic men and women who also wanted to dedicate themselves to Prayer and Worship to God through His Son Jesus Christ and to help improve their Church and local community.

The Pastoral Team

The PASTORAL TEAM was formed and together with the Core Team, they seized the opportunity, and formed the present Prayer Group we now all enjoy. Thanks to their outstanding enthusiasm, the Prayer Group soon grew to 30 members. The Prayer Group was chartered on the 14th of Febuary, 1994. The prayer group developed as the holy spirit guided them....

Today there are over 50 members in the Sacred Heart Prayer Group and over 250 "prayer warriors" many of whom are very active and quick to lend a Prayer to the less fortunate.

About SHPHM

Our members don't believe in sitting idly and just watching life pass by. They Pray for all people and it's results help those who are in need. They get involved in the community and Church activities. They minister to the people. Some are Eucharistic Ministers, Hospital Ministers, Life Care Center ministers, Altar Servers, Lay people and Religious, to mention a few. Their "cup of tea", one could say, is to extend their Prayers to all their neighbors, a Prayer that helps build healthier lives for them. Not only do they reach out to their brothers and sisters with their Prayers, but also with their hearts, their skills and their time.

Sacred Heart Prayer Healing Ministry has come a long way in its search for helping its neighbors through Prayer.
